Giuliana Rancic and LeAnn Rimes have ceased their weight war.
The 29-year-old country singer (who recently explained on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that she does not have an eating disorder) has faced her fair share of attacks on her skinny frame. But it was especially surprising when Rancic -- who's dealt with her own body criticisms -- made a comment about Rimes' figure looking "a little thin" on her show back in August.
But, apparently the women have buried the hatchet.
"@GiulianaRancic My sweets....so amazing to talk to you over drinks. I adore you! You are beautiful and we were meant to meet for a reason :)," Rimes twittered Tuesday night after meeting up with the E! News anchor.
But despite rumors that they met up at Nobu in West Hollywood for peace talks, Rancic set the record straight.
"We actually met for drinks at a different location beforehand," Rancic told her colleagues at E! News. "I'm happy we finally got together and put this whole fiasco behind us. We had a really nice time and I hope to see her again soon."
Rancic explained that she wasn't trying to be insulting when she made the remark.
"I didn't mean it as an insult but apparently some people took it the wrong way," Rancic said afterward.
No worries, Giuliana. It seems all is forgiven.
